Harry Kane was born in Walthamstow, London. England on July 28, 1993. His parents are Kim and Patrick Kane. On his father’s side, he has Irish ancestry.

After birth, the family first moved to Kingford so that Kane could attend Larchwood Primary Academy. He then attended Chingford Foundation School to start moving up the ranks with soccer as well as getting an education.

He has said in interviews that he believes he gets a lot of his football skills and desire for the game from his mom’s side. He has a grandfather who played football at a high level during his prime. Eric Hogg played semi-pro for Blundell Rogers, Brentwood, and Warley.

Thanks to his Irish family roots, there was some talk about him playing for their National Team. However, since he grew up in England and always had to dream of playing for their National Team, it made the decision easy for him when asked to participate.

Harry Kane has just one older brother named Charlie. He is the owner of CK66, which is a sports management business company representing his brother. He played a big role in landing his latest deal in June 2018, keeping Kane with his family’s favorite club until 2024.

There’s a lot of speculation as to where Kane might be heading sometime soon. While he is free to go anywhere after his contract is over, Tottenham Hotspur might opt to move him before. Kane has mentioned his desire to move on, but the team seems to only be interested if they find a good spot.

Wife and Kids

Kane has known Katie Goodland since he was a child. They started to act as a couple as youngsters, and they eventually became engaged in 2017. Two years later, they married in the summer of 2019.

The couple has three children under the age of six named Jane, Vivienne, and Louis. They also take a lot of pride in their two labrador retrievers, named Brady and Wilson. They are just as big a part of the family and are showcased on Instagram often.

Kane attempts to keep his family out of the spotlight as much as possible. The tabloids will always do what they can to keep up with Kane himself, but he tries to shield his family so they are not dealing with the same type of scrutiny.

Kane’s Evolution As One of the Greats

Very early in his life, Kane played for a local club called the Ridgeway Rovers. He was recruited to join the Arsenal Youth Academy when he was eight years old, so he jumped at that opportunity.

However, it got off to a rough start, as he was viewed as a bit overweight and not showing the athletic promise they hoped for.

After trying to stick with Tottenham Hotspur, he went back to Ridgeway Rovers. He would then go back at the age of 11 to join Watford Academy before getting another chance with Tottenham Hotspur.

In the second trial, Tottenham Hotspur picked him up as a midfielder with enough promise to possibly play for the senior team.

He’s always been known as a youthful player capable of making the most out of his limited natural skills. It was not until he hit a late growth spurt that he would be taller and stronger to go up against some of the best.

Tottenham eventually gave him a scholarship contract on the day of his 16th birthday. He continued to take on a more prominent role with Tottenham, even getting a few call-ups in the 2009 and 2010 seasons for the first team.

Getting ready for the 2010–2011 season, Kane thought he might have a chance to play more for the first team. However, he was sent to Leyton Orient on loan to get more playing time. As frustrating as this was, it allowed him to hone his skill a bit more.

The following year, he got a few appearances back with Tottenham. They then sent him to Millwall on loan at the end of the 2011–2012 season.

There would be two additional loan spells for Harry Kane in 2012 and 2013. He spent a little bit of time with Norwich City, appearing in three matches. He spent a little more time with Leicester City, with a total of 13 appearances before going back to Tottenham Hotspur.

In total, Kane is up to 291 appearances with Tottenham Hotspur. He’s scored 193 goals and will go down in history as one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the team. Even though he showed some desire to leave the team in recent years, he still plays for the club and is their most recognizable player.

On the international side of things, Kane has 75 caps for the Senior National Team. He scored 51 goals for England since making his debut in 2015.

What the Future Looks like for Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been in the spotlight for a very long time, but he is still just 29 years old. Although he indicated that he would like to move away from Tottenham Hotspur, it’s unclear if that will happen.

They don’t want to give him up for anything, as he still has a few years left of high-level play.

The England National Team still views him as a very integral part of the push for the World Cup as well. With three Golden Boots and plenty of team success, Kane is about as famous as a player can be at soccer‘s highest level.

The story is far from complete for him, as his combination of skill and experience has him as a crafty striker despite not being the most athletic.
